On Saturday, 30 May 2026, the cycling event “Everesting” will take place on the Villacher Alpenstraße. For this reason, the Villacher Alpenstraße will be closed to all motorised traffic on this day. Visitor buses and organisational vehicles are exempt from this closure.

Every year on Maria Himmelfahrt, the Almkirchtag takes place on the Dobratsch.

Only in the Dobratsch Nature Park can you observe birds of prey on their annual migration to the south in the second half of August.
