High-tech webcams deliver live weather & dreamy views

Are you planning an excursion to Villach’s local mountain, have you already checked the weather report, but want to know what it’s like on the Dobratsch at the minute? Is there snow lying on the mountain? Or has it melted? So you can get a live view of the sensational panorama, and of course about the latest weather conditions along Villach Alpine Road, at Aichingerhütte and at car park P7, two webcams have been set up, and at the highest point of Villach Alpine Road, on Rosstratten, there is a virtual reality 360°-Panomax camera. 

• An archive provides a chance to look back to individual days. Since the Panomax archive is never deleted, each image can be downloaded in full resolution from a given time.  
• With the zoom function in the panorama, you can change between different perspectives – want to look right at the cows in the pastures? Or would you prefer to take a look at the panorama as a whole?  
• You can blend-in an overview map which shows the view from the camera and the nearby surroundings, in normal or satellite mode.  
• Data protection is an important theme. Any people, car licence plates and other sensitive items are automatically pixelated and therefore rendered unrecognisable.   
• The weather displays provide the latest weather details live and the weather details from saved images in the archive.  
• You can send an E-card of your preferred live image by mail to friends and family – just add your own greeting and in one click you can send a virtual greetings card.   
• You can share a live image on social media – as a real-time greeting from Villach Alpine Road.   
• All Panomax images are available in full resolution to download – perhaps as a desktop background to provide a lovely memento of your holiday?  
• You can call-up time-lapse videos for specific time periods.
