You need to have the proper fitness level, riding technique and a love for challenging mountain trails when tackling the ride from Villach-Möltschach up to the Rosstratte. While there are 1,200 altitude metres to cover, numerous resting spots along the panoramic road allow you to take a breather and enjoy the view of the surroundings. You can scale the Villach Alpine Road with a racing bike or mountain bike, as the 6 m wide lane offers maximum safety and riding comfort. Tip: cyclists can ride on the Villach Alpine Road for free!
