Route description
The trip is not only rewarding for the healthy mountain air. A number
of rest areas along the way are ideal for outdoor relaxation or a
comfortable picnic.

- Parking lot 2: View of the city and the lakes, 862 m Stunning panoramic view of Villach and the lake plateau
- Parking lot 3: Forest rest area, 965 mIdyllic rest area in a
mixed forest with a view of the Finkenstein castle ruin and the Julian
Alps.
- Parking lot 4: View of the Schütt, 1,020 m Impressive view of
the "Schütt" landslide area, view of the Julian Alps and Karawanken
- Parking lot 5: Tri-border view, 1,307 m View of the tri-border region (Austria, Slovenia, Italy),
- Parking lot 6: Alpine Garden, 1,483 m Flora from three climatic
zones on an area of 10,000 m2 (extra admission, open daily from June –
August, 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.)
- "Red Wall" observation platform with a breathtaking, panoramic view of the Julian Alps, the Karawanken and the Carnic Alps.
